Purpose

Truss mounted rooftop guardrail system that can be installed on metal, conventionally constructed buildings, landings, and roofs with or without an overhang. Fits roof pitches up to 11/12. Features 60" brackets and detachable post, allowing for different “feet” for various applications.

Installation
Quick Bracket is placed onto truss or rafter tail 1-1/4” from top edge and secured with 2 #10 x 1-1/2” joist hanger, teco, or stub nails in the holes located on the top side. Slide the HUG Bracket onto the Quick Bracket with lower tabs of Quick Bracket seated into notches of the HUG Bracket and insert #10 x 2” self-tapping pan head Phillips screw halfway into each lower tab hole and #10 x 1-1/2” joist, teco, or stub nails into each upper slot hole. Temporary 2x 4 bracing is required for ladder type gable. Install HUGS on ground prior to raising truss or use ladders/lift to install. Hand rails must be installed and stabilized per manufacturer's instructions. Specific directions for drop truss, ladder type, and hand set trusse gables. Warning: Users must strictly adhere to the manufacturer’s inspection, installation, maintenance and use directions; and must follow local, state and federal safety regulations. Failure to do so could result in serious injury or death.
