This course introduces assistive technology (AT) as an environmental intervention to preserve, augment or improve social, emotional and physical well-being. Intervention strategies that maximize participation in daily activities for people with varying limitations and disabilities will be examined. The technologies and interventions will include descriptions of special equipment and assistive technology devices. This seminar will provide an opportunity for hands-on learning experiences with a broad range of technology.
