Russell-Thomas to receive 2023 Ethic of Service Award

Congratulations to Duana Russell-Thomas, OTD, OTR/L, assistant professor of occupational therapy and medicine, who will receive Washington University’s 2023 Gerry and Bob Virgil Ethic of Service Award on April 26. The award is given annually to a select group of Washington University community members who exemplify a character of service and engagement with the St. Louis region.

Russell-Thomas is being recognized for her dedication to WashU students as a mentor, advocate and ally; her commitment to providing community-centered health care to people with chronic conditions; her local and national leadership in organizations dedicated to health equity; and her lifelong volunteerism, activism and participation in the St. Louis community to make it a better place for all.
