Please join us for the 9th Annual Occupational Therapy Scholarship Day on Friday, April 21. This event fosters professional discussion as our graduating students share their work through both oral and poster presentations, and offers professional development units for participants.

The event is held at the Eric P. Newman Education Center on the Washington University School of Medicine campus at 320 S. Euclid Avenue. Click here for directions. Parking is available in the Metro Parking Garage, located at the corner of Taylor and Children's Place, for a maximum daily rate of $15. This garage accepts cash only and we are unable to validate.

University of Southern California

Dr. Natalie Leland is an outstanding researcher in gerontology with a focus improving post-acute care services for older adults. Dr. Leland earned her bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy from the University of New Hampshire and her master’s and doctoral degrees in gerontology from the University of Massachusetts Boston. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Center for Gerontology and Health Care Research at Brown University. Dr. Leland has extensive geriatric clinical experience in a variety of rehabilitation settings.

Dr. Leland's research is focused on understanding and improving post-acute care quality for older adults and with a particular interest in how occupational therapy can contribute to fall prevention. Dr. Leland is an expert in secondary data analysis and evaluating the impact of health services on quality of care for older adults in post-acute settings.
