2018 OT Alumni Award Honorees

The Distinguished OT Program Alumni Award recognizes alumni of the Program of Occupational Therapy at Washington University School of Medicine for their individual achievements in or contributions to the field of occupational therapy in research, education, leadership, professional development or community participation.

In addition to the Distinguished OT Program Alumni Awards, the Awards Selection Committee will honor recent alumni with the Emerging Leader OT Program Alumni Award for our Centennial year. This award honors those who have shown extraordinary leadership in their career.

2018 Distinguished OT Program Alumni Award Honorees

Bette Bonder, PhD, OTR, FAOTA
Class of 1970

Bonder is recognized for her contributions to the profession in mental health, aging and cultural competence, and for her leadership in providing health-care services to diverse populations in the community.

 

Katherine Burson, MS, OTR/L, CPRP
Class of 1981, 1985

Burson is recognized as a transformational behavioral health leader and advocate whose work addresses the complex community living needs of people with mental health challenges.

 

Pamela Roberts, PhD, OTR/L, SCFES, FAOTA, CPHQ, FNAP, FACRM
Class of 1984

Roberts is being honored for her work in shaping rehabilitation services, policies and practices in health-care systems, and for her dedication to providing quality, data-driven health-care services to patient care.

 

Kathleen “Kit” Sinclair, PhD, HKOTR, FWFOT, FAOTA
Class of 1967

Sinclair is recognized for her international leadership in the profession and her advocacy for the expansion of occupational therapy programs and services in developing countries.

 

 

2018 Emerging Leader OT Program Alumni Award Honorees

Lisa Tabor Connor, PhD, OTR/L
Class of 2013

Connor is recognized for her passion for research on the neural, behavioral and social determinants of recovery and participation in people with stroke, particularly for those with aphasia.

 

Adam Pearson, OTD, OTR/L
Class of 2011

Pearson is recognized for his leadership in our community and his dedication to supporting the mental health and well-being of the chronically homeless population in St. Louis.

 

Ashley Stoffel, OTD, OTR/L
Class of 2006

Stoffel is recognized for her work in Early Intervention (EI), advocacy efforts and for building communities of practice in early childhood.

 

 

Timothy Wolf, PhD, OTD, OTR/L, FAOTA
Class of 2007, 2016

Wolf is recognized for his research on functional cognition, occupational performance, and participation to generate knowledge and guide interventions.

We are excited that you are considering applying to the Program in Occupational Therapy at Washington University. Please join us for a Zoom Information Session for either our entry-level MSOT or OTD degrees or our online Post-Professional OTD.
