Building the future of OT at Washington University
The Program in Occupational Therapy is building a center focused on serving the community’s participation needs in our current space at 4444 Forest Park Avenue. It will allow faculty, clinicians, researchers, staff, students and community alike to have access to real situations, real experience and new space to actively engage in the health and well-being of residents in St. Louis. The space will serve community members and classes and learning will take place there. We will optimize innovative ways to use state of the art educational technology to serve the community and move beyond four walls and orchestrated opportunities. It's a space and a concept to help the Program fulfill its mission to advance human health and well-being by maximizing people’s participation in meaningful activity and its vision to lead innovations for barrier-free living. We anticipate that the center will open in Fall 2022.
