Foster to receive 2024 Dean's Impact Award

Congratulations to Erin Foster, PhD, OTD, OTR/L, who will receive the 2024 Dean’s Impact Award. The award recognizes faculty members who have demonstrated enduring commitment to advancing the careers of others through exceptional mentorship and/or sponsorship. Foster has shown exceptional dedication to developing students in her 20+ years at Washington University. Through her Cognitive and Occupational Performance Laboratory, she has guided research projects for more than 40 master's and 22 clinical doctorate students. She was nominated by Lisa Tabor Connor, PhD, MSOT, OTR/L.

“Erin is an extraordinary mentor, particularly in her understanding of the diversity and inclusion and support of international students. Her guidance has profoundly enriched my academic journey, creating an environment that encourages all of us to flourish,” says PhD student Moon Young Kim, MSOT.

Foster will be recognized at the award ceremony on April 30 at the Missouri Botanical Garden.
