Hood receives AOTA's Outstanding Student Advocate Award
Congratulations to Tyler Hood, OTD/S ’25, who is “honored to have received the American Occupational Therapy Association's Outstanding Student Advocate Award on April 5 to recognize my leadership in AOTA, DEI initiatives, and investment in climate change research to advance the practice.” The award was established in 2015 to recognize one OT and OTA student or student group who has demonstrated exceptional commitment to advocacy for the profession. Hood currently serves as the student delegate for the Rehabilitation & Disability Special Interest Section, the associate editor of AOTA’s Student Pulse, and on the National Coalition of Occupational Therapy Advocates for Diversity operations committee.
