Congratulations to Monica Perlmutter, OTD, OTR/L, SCLV, FAOTA, who will receive the Community Light Award from the Society for the Blind and Visually Impaired on April 23 at their Visionary Gala. The award is presented to an individual or group whose accomplishments have made immeasurable impact on the blind and visually impaired population. Perlmutter was selected for this award because she has been a referral source for the Society since 2006, when she began working in low vision rehabilitation in our Community Practice. She has also offered self-management programs to clients and leadership training to Society staff. Read more about the gala and the award here.
